Sojourn in Tunisia is a privately guided and chauffeured short break that allows you to explore some of Tunisia’s cultural and historical highlights at a relaxed pace. Enjoy three nights beside the Mediterranean Sea in the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said at either the 19th-century traditional Tunisian-style Dar Said Hotel or La Villa Bleue, a stunning Arab-Andalusian-style boutique hotel, followed by three nights at the elegant and arty Dar Sabri on the Cap Bon Peninsula.
Sightseeing includes visits to the old walled Arab medina and souqs of Tunis, and the magnificent Bardo Museum, which houses some of the world’s finest Roman mosaics and sculptures. Spend time strolling through the stunning bougainvillea-adorned lanes of Sidi Bou Said with its whitewashed Andalusian-Arab style houses. The ruins of ancient Carthage – the birthplace of Hannibal and former capital of an empire that once vied with Rome for supremacy of the ancient world – together with the magnificent amphitheatre of El Djem, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
