Tour Overview

This private tour of Lebanon and Jordan combines two of the Near East’s most intriguing and diverse destinations.

Both Lebanon and Jordan are steeped in history and rich in antiquities, yet despite their geographic proximity and veneer of a common culture, each country is unique and offers the visitor a very different perspective on the Near East.

Nestling between towering green mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, Lebanon’s green and fertile land has rushing rivers, thickly forested hillsides and mountains capped with snowy peaks. The coastal peoples have long been great mariners and have traditionally looked towards the West for their inspiration, bequeathing large parts of Lebanon with a cosmopolitan and European feel. In contrast, Jordan looks and feels much closer to the Orient and Arabia. Once an important link on the Incense Trail, for centuries Jordan’s influences have come mainly from the great sandy deserts of Arabia to the south.

Our private Lebanon and Jordan tour juxtaposes both countries and showcases the highlights of each destination – including the buzzing, fun-loving city of Beirut and the stunning ruins of Petra.
