Tour Overview

Jordan and The West Bank is a privately chauffeured tour combining the Holy Land’s heart with Jerusalem and Petra.

Notwithstanding its notable cultural attractions, a couple of hours in Bethlehem is all that most foreign visitors experience of the West Bank. This journey seeks to put that right. Travelling through the complex political landscape administered by Israel and the Palestinian Authority, you’ll follow in the footsteps of prophets and patriarchs on a journey through a timeless sun-baked landscape that will reveal many of the West Bank’s highlights: in Hebron, see where Abraham the father of both the Arab and Jewish people is buried; gaze on the sacred Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem; ascend to Mt. Temptation in ancient Jericho by cable car; behold the atmospheric medieval lanes of Nablus – a city known as the ‘Little Damascus’; and discover the ruins of ancient Sebastia – once the capital of the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

As the tour progresses, you’ll see much more besides. Hear the opinions of the Palestinian and Israeli people, and also meet Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Samaritans who live in the West Bank today. Then, immerse yourself in the most holy of cities, Jerusalem, before travelling to the red desert of Wadi Rum and exploring the stunning ‘lost’ city of Petra. The Jordan and The West Bank tour concludes with a relaxing day overlooking the shimmering waters of the Dead Sea.

The site is approached through a hairline crack in the mountain known as the Siq.
