Israel, Jordan and Egypt are three of the Middle East’s greatest cultural and historical treasures. When combined, they create an almost unparalleled holiday experience.
This stunning private tour starts with four nights in the Eternal City of Jerusalem, where you will see the famed Dome of the Rock, walk along the Via Dolorosa, and enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre -Christianity’s holiest site. Next, visit the site of Christ’s birthplace at Bethlehem, take a dramatic cable-car journey up to the great rock fortress of Herod the Great at Masada, and have a dip in the Dead Sea. On arriving in Jordan, highlights will include a desert safari through the moon-like scenery of Wadi Rum, a full day to explore one of the world’s greatest archaeological treasures – the ‘rose-red’ city of Petra – and the magnificent Roman ruins at Jerash.
A short flight will then take you to Cairo, where you will be dazzled by the golden treasures of Tutankhamun and awed by the sheer scale and antiquity of the pyramids of Giza. The spectacular shrines, tombs and temples of the Pharaohs will then be savoured on a stylish four-night Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. Your sightseeing concludes on a crescendo at the great rock-cut temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. An Israel, Jordan and Egypt holiday is truly unforgettable.
