If you are looking for an unspoilt, off-the-beaten-track tropical island similar to the Thailand of forty years ago, an Andaman Islands holiday could be for you!
What makes this Andaman Islands holiday truly special is that it reveals two distinct sides of the islands: the lush tropical jungle interior and the stunning uncrowded beaches lining the coast. On landing in Port Blair on Great Andaman, you’ll be met and travel by ferry to Havelock Island, where the first three nights of your holiday will be spent amongst the dense virgin rainforest at a boutique all-villa hotel. While in this slice of tropical paradise, you will be able to cool off in the pool, visit the Spa, explore the magical Andaman rainforest with its tall trees from the Jurassic age, and embark on a night kayaking excursion to see the incredible marine bioluminescence.
Then, it’s on to the bone-white sands of Radhanagar Beach for the second part of your Andaman adventure and four nights of idleness and pampering beside the shimmering azure Andaman Sea. Should you wish to stir from your hotel, we can arrange a scuba diving and snorkelling island hopping excursion by speedboat to discover more of this underwater paradise. Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Chennai
Land at Chennai International Airport under your own arrangements (please ask us if you would like a quote for international flights). Late this afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through the narrow and bustling lanes of Mylapore for an introductory immersion into Tamil culture and the way of life.

Day 2 Chennai
Begin your day by driving along the palm-strewn Coromandel Coast to Mahabalipuram – the ancient port city of the Pallavas – to see the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage shore temple. In the afternoon, discover Chennai’s (Madras) rich colonial heritage, including Fort St George – the first major settlement of the East India Company in the Subcontinent and conclude your day’s explorations with a visit to Chennai Museum to see the celebrated Chola bronzes.
Day 3 Fly to Port Blair; arrive at Havelock Island, Andaman Islands
Leave Chennai this morning and fly to Port Blair in the Andamans. Later, board a ferry (on a shared basis) to secluded Havelock Island, where on arrival, you will be transferred by car to Jalakara, a beautiful boutique hotel perched on a hillside amongst virgin rainforest.
Day 4 Nature walk. Afternoon at leisure
Rise early today for a guided trek through the surrounding tropical rainforest with its rich flora and fauna. The forest is home to over 30 endemic species of birds and around 14 different species of forest mammals. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 5 Jalakara; Night Kayaking
Relax or explore the Jalakara estate independently. This evening, experience the thrill of night kayaking around the exotic Havelock Island and discover the island’s stunning marine bioluminescence.
Day 6 Arrive Radhanagar Beach
The morning is at leisure. Later, a short transfer by road will bring you to your chosen retreat, set by the stunning shores of Radhanagar Beach, regarded as one of Asia’s finest stretches of sand. The deserted beaches around Havelock Island are renowned for their shallow waters, coral reefs and snorkelling.

Day 7 Havelock Island
Today will be at leisure to relax by the beach, swim or snorkel, and enjoy the leisure facilities at your beach hotel. Alternatively, enjoy snorkelling at South Button Island and Lawrence Beach, famous for their splendid reefs (supplement applies).
Day 8 Havelock Island
At leisure by the beach.
Day 9 Havelock Island
At leisure by the beach.
Day 10 Transfer to Port Blair; fly to Chennai
Leave the magical Havelock Island behind, board the ferry to Port Blair (shared basis) and fly to Chennai. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 11 Farewell to India
