Wilpattu Safari Camp

Surrounded by tropical lowland forests and seasonal paddy fields, the Wilpattu Safari Camp is set amidst five acres of wilderness and is only minutes from the main entrance to Wilpattu National Park.

Owned and managed by a team of Sri Lankan naturalists and wildlife photographers, Wilpattu Safari Camp offers exceptional wildlife camping experiences at an incredible value and provides accommodation in four spacious, custom-designed, all-weather tents imported from northern India. The tents decorated to blend with the natural setting comprise of a bedroom fitted with comfortable beds, bedside tables, a luggage rack, an ensuite bathroom (shower only) and a private sit-out with camping chairs.

The campsite is powered by renewable energy and uses a combination of solar and wind power to light up the tents at night (it is possible to charge laptops, cameras and mobile phones). The camp has a separate dining tent where enticing Sri Lankan and Western cuisine, prepared using locally sourced produce, is served.

Whilst lunch is usually offered at the dining tent, pre-dinner drinks and dinner are served around a campfire under the star-lit sky (subject to weather conditions).

Your accommodation at Wilpattu Safari Camp is on a full-board basis with soft drinks, local beers and spirits at lunch and dinner and includes two shared jeep safaris daily (private jeep safaris available at a supplement).
