Schuchmann Wines Chateau & Spa resembles a medieval Georgian castle with an idyllic location outside Telavi overlooking vineyards and the Caucasus mountains.

An ideal place to relax or use as a base to explore Kakheti province, the property has extensive wine cellars and a wine-themed spa that make it popular with wine enthusiasts. Wine tasting, culinary master classes, and gourmet Georgian dining are all available on-site.

The hotel’s 39 air-conditioned guestrooms are spread between the main building and accommodation blocks within the extensive grounds. Rooms (some of which have balconies) are simply furnished in a contemporary style and feature wooden flooring, flat-screen televisions, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

It should be noted that access to the upper floors is by stairs. Dining at Schuchmann Wines Chateau & Spa is at a choice of three restaurants (one seasonal).

The Traditional Restaurant offers modern Georgian cuisine with views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus mountains, while the Molecular Gastronomy Restaurant serves up healthy, low-calorie Georgian dishes created through avant-garde cooking techniques. Wine pairing is offered in both restaurants.

The pool-side Grill Restaurant and Bar serves tasty barbeques during the warmer months. The extensive leisure facilities available at Schuchmann Wines Chateau & Spa include a games room, two swimming pools (one indoors), a gym, mini-golf, and a Wine Spa where specialised wine therapists employ the magical power of wine in regenerating and revitalising treatments that include a hot wine bath!
