Summit River Lodge

The Summit River Lodge is a charming mountain lodge in the village of Kurintar, offering breathtaking views of the Trisuli River and the Himalayan mountains. The lodge is conveniently situated between Kathmandu and Pokhara and features a rustic-style design with a colonial-inspired façade made of local stone and wood. Surrounding the lodge are well-maintained gardens filled with blooming plants, creating a serene atmosphere.

Accommodation is in 14 simply furnished, air-conditioned rooms with an ensuite bathroom (shower only) and a large picture window overlooking the beautiful gardens. The two suites have a small private veranda with views over the river. The rooms cluster around the central stone bungalow, which houses the dining room and kitchen. At the Summit River Lodge, delicious, freshly prepared meals are enjoyed in the dining room or the gardens. Other facilities include a small bar and a pretty small outdoor pool offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and where guests can relax and unwind after exploring surrounding villages on foot.

Activities on offer include easy to moderate walks that will take you through paddy fields and banana plantations to secluded villages, where time seems to have stood still. Alternatively, walk to the Trisuli River and enjoy a thrilling white-water rafting experience. Guests staying at the hotel should know that there are no motorable roads directly to the property. Crossing a suspension bridge on foot and walking through small villages for about 25 minutes is necessary to reach the Summit River Lodge.
