Namo Buddha Resort

Namo Buddha Resort is a simple, organic farm resort perched on a hilltop and enjoys a tranquil setting just outside the Kathmandu Valley. Built in the traditional Newari style, this rustic-style resort is set amongst mature gardens and offers sublime views of the snow-capped Himalaya.

Accommodation at Namo Buddha Resort is in 13 modestly furnished cottages featuring traditional stone-roof and handcrafted wooden doors and windows. While the Small Cottages share bathrooms, the Medium and Large Cottages have private bathrooms.

This hotel takes pride in providing tasty vegetarian dishes prepared using fresh ingredients sourced from their farm or local markets. Their menu changes daily and includes Continental, Indian, and Nepali cuisine. Moreover, they don’t use artificial colours or ingredients when preparing food. While breakfast and lunch can be at a time convenient to you, dinner is always a communal affair, with all meals usually served in the main dining room. Facilities include a library with a small selection of books and a trampoline for small children and those young at heart.

Although Namo Buddha Resort has limited facilities, this is an excellent base to experience rural Nepal; embark on easy to moderate walks through small farming villages, visit sacred temples, including the Namo Buddha stupa and immerse yourself in the local culture.
