Blending traditional Bhutanese architecture with modern amenities, Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa makes extensive use of wood and stone and is known for having some of the most dramatic views of any Paro hotel – the snowy white cone of Jumolhari (7,300m) towers over the horizon on a clear day!

Located amongst the peaceful forests and orchards of Ngoba village, the hotel is locally run and noted for the warmth of its service. Facilities include a spa and sauna and a peaceful garden complete with a running stream. Traditional darts and archery are also available.

While access to Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa requires a ten-minute drive from Paro along a bumpy country lane, we feel that the setting, stunning views, and attractive traditional architecture make up for any inconvenience. Accommodation is in 38 rooms, and suites are spread between the main building and separate cottages are located within the grounds. Each room has a flat-screen TV, safety deposit box, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, and an ensuite bathroom.

We recommend upgrading to the larger Deluxe rooms (45 sqm) on account of their feature custom wood pine flooring, under-floor heating, private balcony, and enhanced views. For the best views, book a Junior suite or Executive suite.

The Naksel Hotel’s Chabchu bar offers a selection of domestic and imported beers, wines, and spirits, while the Olive restaurant offers buffet and a la carte dining.
