Marari Beach Resort

Inspired by the local fishing community’s simple yet harmonious lifestyle and architecture, the delightful, eco-friendly Marari Beach Resort offers accommodation in 62 Garden Villas and Private Pool Villas. Dotted amongst 36 acres of coconut palm grove, the spacious, air-conditioned Garden Villas have palm-thatched roofs, terracotta floor tiles and partly open-to-the-sky garden showers and are elegantly furnished with locally sourced materials. Room amenities include tea/coffee-making facilities, telephones and a mini-bar (but no televisions). The Garden Pool Villas are similar but have the added luxury of a private plunge pool within a garden, while the Deluxe Pool Villas also feature a separate living area, as well as both an indoor and outdoor bathroom. The private plunge pool at the Deluxe Pool Villas is considerably larger than that in the Garden Pool category.

Meals at Marari Beach Resort are in the main restaurant or at the Beach Grill (open for lunch and dinner during the winter months), where the menu is designed around the catch of the day. Facilities at the Marari Beach Resort include a bar serving beer and Indian wines, a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and an Ayurvedic spa offering massages and treatments based on ancient science. Activities on offer include bicycle rides exploring the Mararikulam village, yoga, music and cooking lessons.
