Affordable glamping in the heart of the Thar Desert
Set in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by the undulating golden sand dunes of the Thar Desert, the tranquil Manvar Desert Camp is designed to provide an affordable glamping experience. It is immensely popular amongst both families and couples.
The camp consists of 30 spacious, comfortably furnished marquee-style tents arranged in a semi-circle and at a comfortable distance to afford privacy. Each of these custom-designed tents offers striking views of the expansive desert and is tastefully decorated with traditional camping-style teak furniture and jute rugs and equipped with an ensuite bathroom (shower only with running hot and cold water) featuring a western-style toilet and proper wash basin.
Meals are provided in the dining tent, and the campfire, mashaals and local musicians and dancers liven up the evenings. Manvar Desert Camp is an ideal base to experience the timeless beauty of Indian desert life. Activities on offer include jeep and camel safaris that take you through small secluded villages nearby and offer the opportunity to interact with the nomadic Rabari herders, spot Indian gazelle and enjoy spectacular sunsets.
