La Villa Bleue

One of our favourite places in Tunisia, La Villa Bleue is a stunning character property built in the Arab-Andalusian style that perfectly captures the essence of a boutique hotel. Set on a hillside amongst the breathtaking beauty of Sidi Bou Said, with commanding views over the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, La Villa Bleue has thirteen air-conditioned ensuite rooms and suites.

All rooms are sea-facing and perfectly balance modernity and tradition in their décor. Some bedrooms have the added attraction of a small balcony. In-room amenities include large fluffy towels, comfy pillows, luxurious linens, complimentary Wi-Fi and a television. The property’s architectural features include marble columns, Tunisian tilework, and traditional doors.

Antiques, paintings reminiscent of the 1920s and 30s and meticulous service all combine to contribute to the charming, cosy atmosphere. Facilities at La Villa Bleue include a terrace bar and gourmet restaurant serving a menu inspired by French cuisine with some North African accents.

There are two small outdoor swimming pools (one of which is heated), lush gardens, and a spa with a hammam and treatment rooms for massages. La Villa Bleue is within easy walking distance of Sidi Bou Said’s cafes, restaurants and souq.
