The Jaffa, A Luxury Collection Hotel in Tel Aviv, is a uniquely beautiful luxury property surrounded by medieval Old Jaffa’s historic lanes, boutiques, and atmospheric alleyways. Designed by architect John Pawson in collaboration with Ramy Gill, The Jaffa Tel Aviv comprises two distinct parts; a renovated 19th-century building once used as a hospital and a substantial new-build.

This exquisite blend of old and new has 120 rooms and suites with views looking over Jaffa, the Mediterranean, or the courtyard. The rooms reflect the warm, neutral tones of Jaffa’s stonework and have elegant furniture influenced by the Bauhaus style for which Tel Aviv is renowned.

But it must be noted they are small for the price and could be criticised for favouring design over functionality. Accommodation in the historic building is characterised by lofty ceilings and arched windows, while rooms in the modern wing have a contemporary style.

Guests at The Jaffa Tel Aviv have some of the city’s best eateries on their doorstep but also have access to a diverse collection of restaurants within the hotel ranging from a Jewish Deli to a New York-style Italian.
