Haveli Hauz Khas

Haveli Hauz Khas is an intimate, boutique-style B&B set in South Delhi’s quiet, cosy, residential Hauz Khas enclave, a world away from the capital’s frenetic pace. Originally designed by two Frenchmen with homeliness in mind, the ambience is relaxed and the décor personal. Each of the six individually designed rooms has an individual character and is themed around a region of India: the Banni Room, as an example, proudly showcases traditional Banni handicrafts from the Kutch region in Gujarat, while the Ajanta Room features photographs and lithographs of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ajanta caves in Maharashtra. There is also a ‘Neem’ room based on the flowering trees of India, and it is planned to overlook the surrounding lush green park.

All rooms at Haveli Hauz Khas are tastefully furnished with Indian artefacts, hand-made furniture, and eye-catching textiles and are supremely comfortable. At the same time, the public areas are decorated in vibrant colours with Rajasthani furniture, vintage photos and Bollywood posters lining the walls.

Home-cooked breakfasts are served in the dining room, and lunch and dinner can be arranged upon request. The trendy Hauz Khas village, with its eclectic art galleries, antique furniture shops, restaurants and boutiques, is only three blocks away and is safe for single women travellers and families travelling with children.
