Forest Rock Garden Resort

Forest Rock Garden Resort is a unique boutique hotel that has made a bold attempt to recreate the architectural style that characterises the golden period of the ancient Anuradhapura Kingdom. The resort provides easy access to Wilpattu National Park and Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle and covers 50 acres of wilderness.

Immersed in nature, Forest Rock Garden Resort has 26 rooms and suites built on stone boulders and cement pillars. Each spacious and tastefully furnished room and suite is elevated at least six metres above ground and connected with the resort’s public spaces, including the restaurant, spa and swimming pool via a network of walkways. Deluxe rooms open out onto a private verandah and share a terrace with the room next door. Each of the free-standing, spacious suites features an open-plan living and bedroom and a private terrace with a plunge pool.

The main restaurant’s imaginative vegetarian Sri Lankan and Western cuisine is prepared using produce mostly sourced from the local village market. Leisure facilities at Forest Rock Garden Resort include a bar (offering only beer and wine), an outdoor pool, a gym, a small library, an open-air meditation centre, and a spa that offers a range of relaxing massages and wellness therapies.
