Eco-friendly wildlife lodge a short distance from Yala National Park
On the edge of Yala National Park, alongside Palatupana, Kirinda Beach, Cinnamon Wild is an eco-friendly wildlife lodge located ten minutes away from the park entrance. Set amongst ten acres of scrub jungle, Cinnamon Wild combines earthen, rustic ambience with modern comforts and contemporary facilities.
Accommodation is in Jungle and Beach chalets built on stilts. The spacious chalets are comfortably furnished with all essential modern conveniences and feature camp-style furniture, beds draped with mosquito nets, and either a private balcony or terrace. Jungle Chalets are mostly in clusters, while the spacious, free-standing Beach Chalets are located closer to the beach, offering direct sea views and a private balcony.
At the heart of Cinnamon Wild is a meandering pool linking the public areas, including the lounge bar, with the main restaurant and observation deck. The main restaurant serves traditional Sri Lankan and International cuisines and offers superb views of the surrounding wilderness.
At Cinnamon Wild, the in-house naturalists offer resident guests the option of night safaris with infrared night vision goggles. For those staying longer, arranging a late-night safari to Kirinda Beach to observe turtles is possible. Cinnamon Wild is also an excellent base to visit the Bundala bird sanctuary.
