Rustic, eco-friendly lodge designed around gigantic boulders
Set on five acres of wilderness, Boulder Garden is a rustic, eco-friendly lodge that is located about 40 minutes from the entrance to the Sinharaja rainforest. Thoughtfully designed, the lodge is built into and around gigantic boulders using local stone to blend in with the natural setting seamlessly.
The ten suites with rock walls, cement-polished floors and ceilings with exposed timber beams are set on four different levels. Many suites have either their own private balconies or terraces overlooking the dense rainforest.
At Boulder Garden, traditional Sri Lankan and Western cuisine is served in the main open-air restaurant, which is located beneath the largest boulder on the property.
A natural cave bar offers guests exotic fruit juices, beer and wine. Other facilities at Boulder Garden include a spring-water swimming pool, guided nature walks, a soft trek through the Sinharaja Rainforest, and mountain biking.
