Delightful 19th-century Parsi merchant house

Bhuj House is a lovingly restored 19th-century Parsi merchant house that retains many of its original features, including original doors and arches that reveal Parsi influences and vibrant paintings that showcase old scenes from Kutch. This delightful converted Parsi-style homestay offers accommodation in four cosy rooms that are tastefully furnished using period-style furniture and individually decorated using fabulous Kutchi craftworks and fabrics. Whilst no two rooms are the same size, we usually recommend the Rahee Room as this features a main bedroom and a separate living room and is undoubtedly the best room at the property.

Usually, dining at Bhuj House is a communal affair, and the outdoor dining area serves sumptuous home-cooked Parsi and Kutchi food prepared using freshly sourced ingredients and recipes handed down through generations. Spend your day in the sun-kissed courtyard with a book from the small in-house library. Bhuj House is an excellent base to discover the many thriving traditional villages in and around the Kutch and, in our opinion – the best hotel in this region.
