Rustic hideaway moments from Asia’s best beach

Barefoot at Havelock is a rustic, eco-friendly hideaway in the remote Andaman Islands on Havelock Island that enjoys a secluded setting. Set amongst seven acres of tropical rainforest, this idyllically located resort is tucked behind pristine white sands on Beach No 7, which Time Magazine rated as the best beach in Asia. Accommodation comprises 19 elegantly designed, simply furnished, environmentally sensitive cottages and villas built on stilts with hardwood walls, thatched roofs and predominantly indigenous, natural materials. While some cottages are air-conditioned, others are fan-cooled. In addition to the cottages and villas, there are also six modestly furnished air-conditioned tents with ensuite facilities. The fan-cooled Duplex Cottage with a mezzanine floor is ideal for families travelling with children, as it can accommodate up to four people.

Facilities include a restaurant that serves Indian and a selection of Thai and Continental cuisine; a lounge bar stocked with Indian wines, beers and spirits; and an Ayurvedic wellness centre that offers relaxing massages and rejuvenation therapies. Leisure activities at Barefoot at Havelock are tailored around the pristine waters and secluded beaches of the Andamans and include snorkelling, island-hopping, diving, and nature walks with a friendly elephant.
