Barahi Jungle Lodge

Barahi Jungle Lodge is an eco-chic wildlife retreat and one of the finest jungle lodges in Nepal. Set on the edge of the serene Rapti River and surrounded on two sides by the picturesque Chitwan National Park. This lodge enjoys a superb location and is designed to blend seamlessly with the stunning natural setting.

Inspired by the traditional Tharu village houses of the region, the Barahi Jungle Lodge has been built using bamboo, sustainable wood, and local stone and provides accommodation in thatched roof river-facing cottages set amongst 12 hectares of wilderness. All 34 cottages are spacious and effortlessly blend contemporary comforts with traditional Nepali furnishings created using bamboo, elephant grass, local wood and delicate fabrics.

All cottages have a modern ensuite bathroom (some feature a shower cubicle and others a bathtub) and a private balcony to enjoy the magical river-front setting. For families, this lodge offers a choice of interconnecting cottages or a two-bedroom villa with a private pool and a personal dining room.

The food at the Barahi Jungle Lodge is exceptional as the chef designs the menu based on locally sourced ingredients. Guests can choose Indian, Nepali or Western cuisine, and meals are served at the main restaurant or by the pool. Facilities include an outdoor pool, a bar and a spa offering a range of Ayurvedic and aromatherapy treatments.

Activities on offer include shared jeep safaris, canoe rides, and village walks, and in the evenings, guests are often treated to a lively Tharu dance and music performance.
