Explore Saudi Arabia with Corinthian
Saudi Arabia is a fabulous destination for remote tourism, with a fascinating history and culture, incredibly diverse landscapes that include some of the finest desert landscapes on earth, and luxurious design-focused resort hotels along the pristine Red Sea shore. For cultural travellers, the ruins of Hegra (the second Petra) in the oasis of AlUla are one of the main reasons for visiting Saudi Arabia, but these fabulous tombs are just the tip of the palm tree. AlUla is also an adventure playground offering a multitude of activities and thrilling experiences. The northern and central parts of Saudi Arabia have fabulous desert scenery, accomplished rock art, and caravan cities, while along the Red Sea coast, you’ll find stunning beaches and a technicoloured submarine wonderland that has been likened to the Maldives. To the southwest, Asir and Al Bahah offer fortified houses and green mountains, while in the Eastern Province, you’ll find the vast oasis of Al Ahsa and the ce Qaisariya market. Our Saudi Arabia guides and suggested itineraries are a good starting point for planning. When you want to move forward, our tailor-made Saudi Arabia team are on hand to help fine-tune ideas to ensure you’ll have the perfect tour.

Saudi Arabia Journey Planner
One week in Saudi Arabia
With a week in Saudi most cultural visitors choose to combine the fabulous highlights of AlUla oasis (and ancient Hegra) with visiting the UNESCO Heritage Sites in the main gateway cities of Riyadh and Jeddah. A quick orientation tour of Medina could also be included, or choose to stopover in Ha’il, from where you can visit the rock art of Jubbah and see the Nefud desert. Travellers looking for a taste of Saudi with some leisure might wish to conclude their private tour with a few nights at a luxury resort on one of the pristine Red Sea islands.
Ten to twelve days in Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a great deal to offer the traveller. Visitors choosing to stay longer will be richly rewarded when they explore beyond the highlights. Cultural enthusiasts will want to travel overland from Riyadh to AlUla visiting the Buraidah camel market en route, as well as seeing Jubbah’s rock art, and potentially including Al Jawf province with its intriguing antiquities. Adventure seekers may relish the idea of an off-road adventure in the deserts of Neom and exploring the volcanoes of the Harrat Khaybar. Another unforgettable Saudi journey is travelling north from the mountains of Asir to AlUla along the Saudi Incense Route. Ten days alone could also be dedicated to exploring the little-known southwestern provinces of Asir and Al Bahah with their tower houses, lively markets, and distinct artistic traditions.
Three weeks in Saudi Arabia
You will need to plan on spending at least three weeks (preferably a month) for a journey that comes anywhere close to being a comprehensive tour of Saudia Arabia. In addition to the locations named above, a comprehensive tour of Saudi would include the Eastern Province and the oasis of Hofuf. More time could be spent in central Al Qassim Province. Mountainous Jazan Province and the stunning Farasan Islands, along with Najran Province with its rock art and fine mudbrick tower houses, are currently off limits – but that could change quickly. As the destination develops, Amaala will emerge as a destination for personal wellness journeys, and Neom will become a destination in its own right.
