Petra will be the focus of a short visit to Jordan. The site is vast and requires a full day to explore. With two to three nights in Jordan you can visit Petra from Amman or Israel/Egypt. A four-night stay will permit a busy tour that includes the country’s main highlights of Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea.
One week in Jordan
A week is the optimal duration for a Jordan tour if you want to explore the country’s highlights at a sensible pace. On a seven-day trip you can choose to spend longer in Petra, or have a night in the desert of Wadi Rum, before relaxing for a day by the Dead Sea. It will also be possible to include some of the country’s other attractions such Kerak Castle, Madaba and Mt. Nebo.
Ten to twelve days in Jordan
Enjoy an extended and relaxed tour of Jordan that gives to ample time to appreciate the country’s great highlights and includes leisure time by the Red Sea and/or Dead Sea. Alternatively, create a more comprehensive journey that features more of Jordan’s lesser-visited attractions and includes immersive cultural experiences.
Two to three weeks in Jordan
A two to three-week Jordan tour will leave few stones unturned in terms of sightseeing and will take you off the beaten track. Spend time at Petra and Wadi Rum, tour northern and central Jordan’s lesser-known archaeological sites, explore the wildlife reserves in the eastern desert, hike off-the-beaten-track to discover Wadi Feynan and Wadi Dana, and spend time by the Red Sea and Dead Sea.
