Explore Georgia with Corinthian
The Republic of Georgia is approximately the same size as Ireland and, therefore, relatively easy to navigate by car without too many long drives. Visitors tend to focus on eastern Georgia’s mountains and cultural attractions, accessed from the capital, Tbilisi. Still, it is worth remembering that the western part of the country is also highly enriching and sees fewer visitors. Corinthian Travel specialises in tailor-made holidays in Georgia. Our Georgia destination guides and suggested itineraries have been designed to inspire you so we can help you forge an exceptional private holiday in Georgia.

Georgia Journey Planner
Three to five days in Georgia
For a taste of Georgia, base yourself in the capital, Tbilisi for two or three days and explore the city’s wonderful Old Town with its Silk Road appeal and the grand 19th-century avenues and squares of the Tsarist city. Sample the local street cuisine, enjoy a wine master class, experience fine Georgian dining, and perhaps travel out to the World Heritage Site of Mtskheta. Days trips from Tbilisi could include a visit to the eastern province of Kakheti with its wineries, the High Caucasus mountains and Kazbegi, and the central heartlands – including Gori – where Stalin was born.
One week to ten days in Georgia
A week in Georgia is ideal if you want to experience the country’s main highlights at a sensible pace. In addition to getting to know Tbilisi, you’ll be able to spend a couple of nights exploring the wineries, markets and monasteries of the eastern province of Kakheti. Then, travel up the magnificent Georgian Military Highway through the passes of the High Caucasus to Stepantsminda to enjoy the almost unparalleled views over the great Mt Kazbek, go on easy mountain walks, and relax in the clean mountain air. Return to Tbilisi via the central heartlands of Kartli. With ten days in Georgia, you could also include a couple of days in southern Georgia and visit Vardzia monastery or combine Tbilisi with the magical mountains of Svaneti with their tower houses and the Black Sea port of Batumi.
Two to three weeks in Georgia
Visitors who can spend between two to three weeks in Georgia will be richly rewarded as the country has a great deal to interest the visitor. If you maintain a busy pace, it will be possible to develop a fairly comprehensive tour that visits most regions of the country. Slow travellers will want to cherry-pick a few places and explore in-depth. Travellers who like to seek out the remote and less discovered places may be drawn to exploring the Vashlovani Reserve in eastern Kakheti, taking the perilous road up to the remote highlands of Tusheti, or discovering the often ignored mountains and monasteries of Racha on the borders of South Ossetia.
