This Oman and Sri Lanka holiday combines the romantic land of Frankincense with its immense deserts, fairy-tale castles and jagged mountains, with the luxuriant pea-green hills, ancient cities, sacred temples, waterfalls and tranquil tropical beaches of one of the Indian Ocean’s most sublime natural wonders. On this privately chauffeured luxury Oman and Sri Lanka holiday, you will discover both the soul of Arabia and the warm exoticism of the Indian Ocean to return richly laden with unforgettable experiences and memories.

Begin your holiday in the Sultanate of Oman with a guided walk through the bustling Muttrah souq, heavily laden with the scent of frankincense, before exploring mirage-like oases and driving through deep and rugged palm-lined wadis. During your time in Oman, you will also set off on a dramatic walk along one of Oman’s prettiest mountain trails and spend a night under a star-lit sky amongst the great dunes of the Wahiba Sands.

A short flight will bring you to Sri Lanka, where you will climb up the mighty rock fortress of Sigiriya, cycle through the ancient capital city of Polonnaruwa and studded with ruined royal palaces as well as magnificent Buddhist statues, attend a lively prayer ceremony at the sacred temple of the tooth, discover Sri Lanka’s behold rolling hills carpeted with tea, rubber and spice plantations, and relax in style on a golden sandy beach while listening to the sound of the waves.

Perfectly balancing quality time by the shores of the Indian Ocean with an opportunity to explore the dramatic interiors of both the Resplendent Isle and the Sultanate of Oman, this luxury holiday is virtually tailor-made for honeymooners and couples who, like Sinbad the Sailor before them, wish to follow the ancient trade routes and discover these two diverse and fabled lands.
